If you are not satisfied with your drive off the tee, then it may be time for you to work on your golf swing impact. In order to obtain explosive contact, you need to have the core of your body in the right position. This is something that is not natural for those first starting out at golf. You need to be taught how to adjust your natural body alignment and this will set you on the path to a powerful swing. The Sweet Spot The sweet spot on your driver face is the spot on which makes the most square contact with the ball. This sweet spot is ideally the spot you are looking for when it comes to golf swing impact. If you can routinely find the sweet spot on the club face, you will have more consistency off the tee. When you are hitting the ball with the sweet spot on the club, you are actually maximizing the club's dynamic crush zone. This is where the most energy will be omitted from on the down swing. Many of the newer drivers today have actually marked out the sweet spot on the club face. This allows you the opportunity to "aim" at the ball. The hardest aspect of this, is keeping this steady flow to the club versus ball connection on your down swing. This is where quality golf training will make the difference. Positioning Positioning within the tee box is absolutely critical when it comes to golf swing impact. If you are not positioned square to the ball, more than likely you are not going to get that quality drive off the tee. This is something that many people struggle with initially. Yet, with time and practice can actually learn to position correctly for a great shot. Knowing where this great spot is could be something that will take time and some understanding of how the physics of a golf swing should be applied. If you end up to the right or left of the ball with the sweet spot on the club face, you are going to hook or slice it. This will leave undesirable ball positions when it comes to your second shot. Quite often a shot will go into a sand trap or the wooded sideline of the fairway if you are to hook or slice the ball. Oversized Club Face If you are someone that has issues with golf swing impact, you may actually benefit from an oversized club face. These oversized club heads on many drivers today are developed to allow for a greater sweet spot on the face. This will help you obtain greater impact off the tee. When you accomplish this feat, you will notice much greater force with which you hit the ball. This is something that can make a great deal of difference on your drive and you will find that you will come away with much more power and control when you swing the club.
