Junior Tournaments

With the game of golf quickly becoming a sport for all ages to enjoy, junior golf tournaments are starting to become very popular. Many of today’s events are sponsored by large corporations and sometimes even by large golf associations themselves. With professional golf sponsors hosting junior golf events, young golfers are starting to make their early mark on the game.

Many of these junior golf tournaments actually lead to bigger and better things, as some of the golf organizations offer under 18 select teams. Some of these teams will travel to various countries and compete against their own under 18 select teams.

On To College Or Q School

Many young golfers will look for colleges that offer a golf team or program. This allows them to continue what they were doing in high school. There are even some schools today that will offer a scholarship for those that are good enough at the game. Much like football or hockey teams for colleges, golf teams are making headway and a lot of noise.

There is of course another option and this is to enroll on Q school. This is basically golf college itself. From here you can earn your Q card and then be able to compete in PGA or LPGA tour events. If you are good enough to pass through Q school, there could be a promising career waiting for you in the world of professional golf. Looking into this option is for those that are looking to make golf a significant part of their lives.
