Housing Your Clubs In The Right Golf Bag
A Good Golf Bag Goes A Long Way
One of the most important items when it comes to the game of golf is easily the golf
bag. Without a good bag, your clubs are in essence vulnerable.
If you do not have a quality bag, your clubs will be cluttered and disorganized. You will not
have adequate room for accessories, as the smaller bags simply do not have the pocket space.
Finding a good bag is not as difficult as finding the right clubs, yet you can be sure that you
will want to shop around prior to making a decision.
You are going to want to find a bag that has enough storage room for all of the smaller
accessories, such as: balls, an umbrella, and tees. You will also want a golf bag that is designed to organize your
clubs.
Organization Is Key
If you have a bag that is organized, you are far less likely to pick up the wrong club by
mistake. You will always have the right club on hand, as you can separate your clubs according to specific needs.
There are slots assigned for drivers and woods that will be separate from the iron and wedges.
You can find a decent bag in a department store that could serve your needs, yet you need to
understand that this is not a professional bag. Many bags today are done up in trim and or decals of golf companies
and this will give your bag a professional look to it.
Bag Sizes
There are many types of golf bag available today. While some are
large and bulky, there are smaller versions available. The bigger bags would be more suited for those that are on
the course a fair amount and may not be needed for someone that is an occasional weekend warrior.
You will want to be sure that the golf bag that you pick out is able to
be attached to a golf trolley. This is due to the fact that having to haul a heavy bag with full gear in it for 18
holes would be nothing short of tiring. If you are looking for a smaller bag and you are not really concerned about
the weight factor, you still have several different options.
Bag Materials
Golf bag materials have changed a great deal over the last couple of decades. While the older
bags were made of leather, this was not always a practical choice. If the rain came down, you could be sure that
that bag would end up weighing a great deal more than its original weight. This is why many of the bag makers
started going with more breathable materials. Nylon and faux leather products became a big hit with golfers, as the
flexible and light materials eased the back and shoulder pains.
Whatever material your bag will be, you need to make sure that your golf bag is
well protected from the elements. This will allow you to use this bag for many years to come without having to
continually replace it.
