Picking The Right Golf Gear For Yourself

One of the most confusing and often frustrating things that come with playing golf is picking the right golf gear.

Just because someone knows how to swing a golf club, does not necessarily mean that they know how to spot the best deal.

Finding the right golf gear for you means you are going to have to take several factors into consideration. You will want to keep cost, quality, and functionality will all play a role in the choice you are going to make.

Don’t Spend Above Your Experience Level

Let’s face it, if you are new to golf the last thing you should do is spend and arm and a leg on clubs. A simple beginner set that is of decent quality is all that you should really consider for the moment. This will allow you to get the fundamentals of the game down and then you can consider investing in a better set.

This will allow you to start the process of understanding your swing and to enjoy the game early on. If you find that it is simply not your thing, then you have spent little. This will keep you from feeling guilty.

Put What You Need In Your Bag

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced golfer, you should only put golf gear in your bag that you are actually going to utilize. This will keep the bag less cluttered and you will notice that it will be considerably lighter. This will save you time and troubles throughout the day on the course and as the saying goes fewer options means less confusion.

Pack your few essentials like your driver, putter, and a few necessary irons such as your 3, 5, 7, and 9. If you wish to couple these clubs with a few woods such as your 5 and 7 then by all means.

Maximize Club Head Space

If you are a new golfer, one of the most rewarding aspects to golf is actually getting a great drive going. This is done no easier that by using an oversized driver head. This is not cheating, as the pros still use them. This will make for better opportunity to get the drive you need to make your way down the fairway.

The same can be said for your woods as well. If you have an oversized wood head, you will more than likely not miss your mark. This can save you are great deal of trouble and perhaps shave a few strokes off your overall card.

Consider Getting Fitted

If you are certain that golf is your thing or you have been playing for a while, then you might want to consider getting fitted for the right golf gear. You can go to virtually any golf store and have a professional suit you up with the right sized clubs. This will help your game tremendously.

You could have these clubs custom made and they will most likely cost a pretty penny. The other option is to have the store simple cut the shafts to meet your needs. This is the most practical and inexpensive methods of getting clubs for you.
