Choosing The Right Golf Apparel
The right golf apparel should give you both comfort and style
If you have ever sat down and actually watched a professional golf tournament, one of the first
things that are obvious is the golf apparel.
Golfers are somewhat of a different animal when it comes to sports clothing, in that they seem
to blend in with a more fashionable crowd.
Golf clothing is actually a unique blend of comfort and style, all wrapped up in a package that
is available to anyone that loves the sport.
The pros may have the endorsements, yet this is not to say that you cannot look like a pro on
the course. This can be accomplished by choosing the right golf apparel. A simple choice
can bring you to the course looking like a pro and you will feel great on the course during play.
The Right Shirt
There is a large variety of options where golf shirts are concerned. The right golf apparel would not be complete without a comfortable and lightweight golf shirt. There are
so many brands today, that one could easily become confused. What you need to remember is always comfort first.
This is generally because you are going to be spending the day outside in the sun. You are going to want a light
and breathable material to play in.
Style is something that is usually a hit or miss aspect to the right golf apparel. While you may
find something appropriate, there may be another golfer somewhere that will take offense to your choice. A clean
statement will always be favorable over a questionable print.
Trousers
The trousers that you wear are an entirely different animal all together. You will have more
options when it comes to your lower half and finding what works for the moment is less of a crapshoot. You can
either choose to go with a smart pleated kaki style trouser, or you can go daring with a bold and colorful plaid
print on a pleated trouser.
This does not even delve into the possibilities of shorts and or knickers on the golf course.
While you are golfing in a very warm region, it is easily acceptable for you to go with shorts. While the pros are
not encouraged to go this route, you are not restricted like they are and can get away with it.
Hats
While hats on the golf course are not mandatory golf apparel, they are actually
a very sensible choice. This is because as stated you will be on the course in the sun. this will become a very
warm and possibly even dangerous scenario should you be in the sun all day without proper protection. Heat stroke
and or burns can occur, when you are out in the open like on a fairway.
There are a few options to choose from which include full hats and visors. The full hat will
fully protect you from the rays of the sun but they will make you sweat more. The visor does not offer as much
protection as the top of your head is exposed to the sun. a visor is however an option when you are looking for
something light and breathable.
